What is construction supervision?

As can be understood by the expression itself, it is a system which supervises the building (settlement). It is a system launched by the statutory decree 595 on Construction supervision and continued by the law 4708 on Construction Supervision published on gazette official 24461 of 13.07.2001 instead of the former; it puts first life and goods safety, consists of contemporary criteria and standards plus prevents uncontrolled and low quality settlement.

Why Construction Supervision?

The new construction supervision system was prepared in order to provide the construction in line with the concerned rules of science and art and the known rules about them as well as in line with the legislation on construction, thus to ensure the life and good safety which will prevent the distorted, uncontrolled and low quality housing in our country.

The Scope of the Supervision

The Construction Supervision Law covers 19 provinces on country basis. These provinces are Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, Bolu, Bursa, Çanakkale, Denizli, Düzce, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Hatay, İstanbul, İzmir, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Tekirdağ and Yalova. Since the supervision of the constructions to be done within the municipal and adjacent borders of these provinces is subject to the provisions of this law, all the constructions have the obligation of being supervised by the Construction Supervision Institutions.
